Habilitation is specialized health care for adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

We are expanding our psychology group from two to three positions and are therefore looking for a colleague to our clinic who wants to make a difference for our patients.

Responsibilities

Psychologists in adult habilitation work to increase the patient's and the environment's knowledge about the disability and promote self-awareness in the patient. We work to strengthen existing abilities and develop compensatory strategies, either directly with the patient or directed towards the surrounding network. The interventions are based on the disability and can be provided individually and/or in groups.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist, preferably with work experience. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or familiarity with working in a multidisciplinary team is an advantage. Understanding cognitive impairments, pedagogical approaches, and neuropsychology is beneficial.

You should be able to work independently, be flexible, and have a good ability to organize and structure your patient work. Good social skills and the ability to collaborate are important for internal and external cooperation. A driver's license is desirable as travel may occur in the position. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We prefer to have you full-time (100%), but if you have other preferences, this can be discussed at a potential interview. The habilitation in Skövde operates in the Skaraborg area, which includes 15 municipalities, where your placement will be in Skövde.
